Thank you so much for the very encouraging and lovely comment, Helen.
I really meant what I said to Panny, but I understand what you say.
And I'm really pleased you like this one, because it's still one of my personal favorits.
LOL....yeah, the frame. It seems opinions are divided over this device. I tried it without
the frame too, but it didn't work for me; the frame restrains the shapes which strive outward.

I very much like the low saturation/almost grayscale. For me, the frames are unnecessary and detract from the delicate fractal. That there are gaps in the structure bothers me a bit; I think this coloring deserves a true dendritic structure (but that's me). And while I find myself moving away from fully symmetric images, I rather like your use of the entire Julia. Well done!

Thank you very much for taking the time to look closer and commenting this one.
I'm pleased you like it, but, however, think I didn't understand everything.
Can you please explain to me what this meant: "That there are gaps in the structure bothers me a bit; I think this coloring deserves a true dendritic structure..."? Thanks, again.

It seems that your Julia parameter is close to this: c = (0.385525237041/-0.108649580024), which is just outside of the Mandelbrot set. I feel that your image would be more effective with something like this: c = (0.3847274301749913253319709/-0.10928329444915274608141025), which would close up the gaps between the tips of the spiral arms.

Thanks a lot for the explanation. I've included the coordinates and compared and now I understand what you meant.
I didn't think of it, but next time I'll pay more attention to such details because in this case it looks more complete with your coordinates.

Looks like a lot of thought went into this..and I appreciate that...rather than submitting 6 fractals a week...lol.
I love how you framed this subject, and your choice to avoid the black & white theme was for the best, I think.
Wonderful work

Beautiful, Denise! You've captured the detail and intricacy of the structure and yet kept it wonderfully light and delicate.

how nice to see you post, and with such a beauty! I really appreciate the delicate lines and faint color choices. A classic julia, with a very classy presentation!

Very nice. Not sure at first but really got drawn in to it.

I like the subtle hues too, they're so inspiring! A wonderful piece. (I think it doesn't really need the outer frame, it's powerful enough to stand on its own.)

Light, cool and airy, like spirals breaking through snow and ice. I like the simple shapes and uncomplicated look. This is simple but beautiful.
