Description I love it when it works out like that

This is a Parma Wallaby, the smallest member of the Macropus genus (kangaroos, wallaroos, and wallabies). They are a very shy, timid species and were believed to be extinct in the wild (in New South Wales, Australia), by the end of the 1800s. In the 1960s, am isolated surviving population of these wallabies were found on an island near Auckland, New Zealand. A few years later, another population was found in New South Wales.

They are not considered common, but have been found in several surviving populations in the area, though future survival relies on the protection of their habitat.

This little fella lives at Happy Hollow Park and Zoo in San Jose, CA

its just a shame that the nos are so god damn low! even the rock wallaby i have seen and they are adorable as well, but like the parma wallaby their no's are low.

A slightly lower view point might be good but this is still my kind of animal photograph.

Colour, texture ....... everything coming together.

I agree, for sure! They only stand about a foot and a half tall, and the lowest point of view you can get from the enclosure is about 3.5ft off the ground - so it is a challenge! Thank you
