"Der Strandfriedhof"Swiss-German settlers cemetary,
Kingsburg, Nova Scotia
These settlers were brought in by England when the Acadians were booted out to Louisiana.

I love this photograph because it exemplifies everything about why I love cemeteries. the mist is fleeting - such as life - the peacefulness, the silence, the history, it's all there in this photograph.

This is one of my all time faves. I shot this on my first vacation with Kendra in a small fishing village in NovaScotia. We were renting a small cabin and this was out the back window.

It's quite incredible.
There are two ocean beaches and 5 freshwater lakes within 1 km.
