I'm not satisfied with this enough to display it in my gallery. Something's wrong that I'm not willing to fix. But I figured some of you would appreciate it, nevertheless. His outfit is obviously based on those in Aladdin. So sue me.Edit: Moved it, obviously.

YES! It's so totally inspired by costumes from Aladdin, particularly Sorcerer!Jafar and Mosenrath from the TV series. Erik is way cooler than just about everyone, but Jafar is pretty badass in his own right. They two actually do have quite a few similarities, if you think about it (I'm a huge dork and Disney fan...I've thought about it, probably way too much lol).

LOL, it's okay. I ADORE Disney movies (and can't wait for the new one, even if it is 2D. It has Zachery Levi, which automatically makes it awesome.) and...now that I think about it, Jafar really is like Erik, in some ways. But still nowhere near as awesome.

Heheheh, yes, Jafar--er, Erik looks decisively wicked in this getup. A perfect match for the Angel of Doom in Mandezeran.
I think if you were going to revise it you should fix that twist in torso. Since he's stepping with his left foot at an angle there should be more of ruffle in the clothes and a slightly less visible belt.
Over all, cool.

I agree with your critique and appreciate it. Lol, Jafar. Actually he looks more like that other dude from the Aladdin TV show...MOSENRATH! Yeah, that's it. I kinda used him as an inspiration for the outfit. But I'm glad you dig it, overall.

I grew up without cable (sad deprived childhood), but I looked up the character on Wiki and Youtube -- I'm intrigued!
I loved how Kay expanded on elements Leroux only hinted at and I always find it a special treat to see exceptional artwork.

It wasn't on cable, it was just on ABC for the Saturday morning cartoons and stuff, alone with a bunch of other Disney gems like Talespin, Gooftroop, Darkwing Duck, Ducktales, etc.
