Description
Chronos is the mythological leader of the Titans and manifestation of time. He is also the father of Zeus and famous is the story passed to us across the centuries, of Chronos devouring all his children until Zeus fought back against him, freed his brothers and established the order of the Olympians.
SMITE has a few interesting designs for Chronos but this one stood out to me, due to its callback to Reinassance paintings of this character, such as the one by Pierre Mignard. Whether or not the artist behind this model was aware or not, the personification of Chronos as an aged man was popular across the history. I especially loved his huge scythe.
Another interesting tidbit is that previous to completing this artwork, the Gods spoke to me and taught me that Time is an illusion. Guess someone forgot to let this old man know.
