After the death of Optimus Prime at the hands of Overlord, It took a toll on the Survivors from Darkseid's snap. If having their friends dusted was not bad enough they have witnessed the passing of one the most respected and inspirational members of the team.

For Ren Amamiya, The death of Prime hit him the most as he mentored the boy and gave him plenty of advice over the years. But one hit hum hardest was that he couldn't stop Overlord from killing him. And the thing the psychopath always told him kept repeating in his head:

"Isn't funny that everyone around you keeps dying?"

Ren wants to put an end to him but he's nervous that he might become Overlord, Something he does not want to happen. That'll have to change when he's approached by Seras and the Doom Slayer both armed with their respective weapons. He instantly knows whats it about.

Seras tells him she and Slayer are heading out to track down the Decepticon wanting to kill him and avenge Prime. She also tells him that if they don't stop him he's gonna continue to kill innocent people and cause misery for everyone else.
Ren agrees and the three head out, as they have found Overlord in the same area he ambushed them.

They waited for him and eventually he came. Overlord taunts them by saying that came all this way to join Optimus in the grave which only made them angry and the fight begins. Only this time while Overlord manages to knock them down, they get back up and fight back.

By the time it's over Overlord has a missing left arm, Knocked out optic, and bullet ridden body. But he's still functional. Seras, Ren and Doom Slayer all aim their weapons at him but Ren walks up to him and aims his handgun at his head.

Overlord only sadistically smiled as he knew this was coming. He kept his grin as he uttered something.

"Oh finally your going to do it! Your gonna end our little game of suffering. Or are you going to let your two friends take your moment here? Come on kid prove me wrong. Your gonna let me live so we could continue our little cycle of-"

But Overlord doesn't get to finish his monologue as Ren shoots him in the hand. He does not know how to feel but he onl says one thing:

For Optimus...
