Green Zone 2020 (158), Encounters with Darth Beech at Six Lakes PlateauThe Duisburg Six-Lakes Platte is a recreational area consisting of six lakes, most of which is located in Wedau, a district of Duisburg in the district of Duisburg-Süd.
The Six Lakes Plateau consists of the lakes: Wambachsee, Masurensee, Böllertsee, Wolfssee, Wildförstersee and Haubachsee.
A small, western part of the Wildförstersee belongs to the district of Großenbaum.
Green Zone and Natural paradise
The popular local recreation area covers 283 hectares.
The natural paradise is the perfect place to spend your free time:
swimming pool, riding paths, playgrounds and a whole 25 km of walking paths promise a relaxing break from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Bathing, grilling, sailing - those looking for local recreation are in good hands here.
Duisburg sailing clubs appreciate the idyllic location and the demanding conditions for sailors.
The "islands" of the Six Lakes Plateau or the tree population challenge the athletes in terms of wind.
The clubs compete in six regattas under the motto "Duisburg sails". An exciting and visually impressive event not only for the participants.
