Description
I had heard that this pokemon had multiple forms depending on its environment. So naturally, I couldn't illustrate just one, but rather all three! So the first one I saw was in Jubilife City, and it was wearing scrap metal and insulation, which I imagine itched quite a bit, but it seemed comfortable; the second was in Mt. Coronet while on my way to Snowpoint City, which seems blissfully unaware of my presence so I guess mud and and rocks are cozy; lastly, near Eterna City, I spied this little guy hanging out in tree covered in leaves and twigs which is probably effective camouflage.
#412 Burmy
Burmy is usually found in cold climates such as the Sinnoh region. However, this Pokémon is also quite susceptible to the cold, so as a manner of protection, it will use its silk and pieces of the nearby environment to fashion a cloak to protect it from the elements. Each cloak will be detailed below:
d
- e up of leaves, grass, and twigs mixed with Burmy's silk, this is cloak isn't as strong in windy areas and the Burmy that use it are often found swinging wildly on windy days. It acts as an effective camouflage from its main predator, Remoraid
- Sandy Cloak-Using sand, mud, and small stones, the Sandy cloak is a strong defense again. The cold, forever rainy, said will dissolve the cloak. For this reason, many Sandy cloak Burmy are found in caves. While it doesn't serve as the best camouflage, its hardened nature still serves as excellent protection.
- Trash Cloak-Insulation and scrap metal make up the majority of this Burmy's cloak. It seems to offer the best protection from both the elements as well as its predators. However, this comes at the cost of it standing out, making it easier to spot in urban environments.
