Love that quote and is very true in my circumstance. Tough times are hopefully coming to an end soon... In my last pic: there was nothing physically stopping her talking, however this one is a truer representation to what I'm going through; being muted. Not being able to share things and having to put on a smile. Not because I want to but because I have to. This is the same girl two years on...
My apologies for bringing emotional things here again, perhaps because I can't talk about it it gives me the urge to draw it, either way its therapeutic, its a help

Whether or not we supress our feelings doesn't change the fact that they nevertheless exist. It sucks to be stuck with feelings that a person can't act upon. It can happen to anyone. In that sense your work inspires me. Thanks for that.

People, calm down. I get what you're saying, but to hate this sort of art is a bit extreme. It portrays just how difficult and impossible-seeming it can be for people struggling with mental health to open up about their experience, especially if it's similar to DestinyBlue's experience: she had/has psychotic depression. Those with psychotic depression feel as if they aren't worth helping, as if noone would care anyway. The psychosis can also mean they believe that everybody is out to hurt them and talks about them behind their back - including close family/friends. These sorts of experience mean it takes an overwhelming amount of courage to reach out to ANYONE about how they are feeling. So please, don't dismiss this as soon as you see it, but try to appreciate how difficult it can be and what this sort of art represents.

A picture is worth a thousand words that we sometimes just can't possibly say or explain out loud. That's how I see it. I like to draw a lot. It's like a journal entry to me. I can never remember the things I write in my journals, but when I draw and see the drawing, I remember all the emotions and memories from the time I drew it. Drawing helps get things out a lot.
