Description I'm not quite sure why this woman is portrayed holding a man's head in some kind of basket, but judging by the sinister way her face has weathered through time, I would assume it is for ill reasons.

I've always found cemetery sculptures that feature disembodied heads to be more than just a little creepy. I've come across one such "head in a basket" sculpture (haven't posted images yet) and they really defy explanation beyond just being some sort of mourning motif. Curious, odd, and definitely interesting.

Definitely interesting indeed... This one was shot in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn Massachusetts.
