You are still young. If you practice constantly you'll get better no matter what. School is just school. If you have discipline you can do you learn anything. Hang around other artists too.

Yeah, that is true. What you get by going to an art school, though, is time. Also good access to material and croquis sessions. Another thing is that you might be forced to do some things that you think you don´t need, when really; you do. But most important is the time.

The stories I've heard about fantasy and comic book artists breaking into the industry involve networking. So you'll have to get used to meeting new people too. In fantasy and comic art you have to bring portfolio to conventions. Post your work to message boards too. I know of a few people that do that pretty constantly.
Being successful and improving yourself is a lot of work.
There is only so much time in the day. I've stopped watching as much tv. I still use the internet to much though.

Yeah. I´m going to try just writing, drawing, painting whenever and whatever. That´s how you learn.

I want to, but it is expensive to do just for fun and I don´t know if I dare to really go fot it seriously.
