Turned pro and became a spearman. I'm stoppin at Level 35 and will wait til the commercial product comes out (it's still Beta). I play Maple Story for a bit when my top can catch a signal or chillin after a good exercise or meal because this kiddy-ass game's pretty fun.

2005 PERSONAL GAME REVIEW: "MAPLE STORY"
Play Time: 2 years

Maple Story is the first mmorpg and first Korean game I played. It grew on me because of it's 2D anime side-scrolling action style and my growing up with Nintendo and SuperNES games. Maple Story also was a much funner way for me to stay in touch with friends and family other than chatting on AOL

Things I like about MS are:

It's big-head anime art style.
The emotes and some monsters make me laugh.
Each class has cool attacks and cool gear to wear.
It's awesome when you take on huge bosses with hella peeps.
It's FREE!

I only have a few gripes about this game:

1) BOTS...bots everywhere...hackers who have found a way to have their characters auto-attack a quiet section of the game where weak monsters spawn, leveling up without them having to be behind their computer. Gay.
2) The game takes place on an island. I hope when the commercial version comes out, there'll be more places to go.
3) It takes a while to level up.

It is still in beta tho so other than that, the game's was still worth playing for me.

BOTTOM LINE: I give Maple Story a 6/10. If the bot issues are fixed and the game's balance is tweaked better (warriors tend to start out weak but become badass at the end, mages tend to start out badass but become eh at the end o_O) when the full version comes out, I'll bump it up to a 7/10.
