Took this cool picture while I was up in the Gateway Arch. I'm usually more of naturalist type character, I don't care for city views and nightlife unless the odd mood has struck me but seeing all this architecture and innovation with such a wide point of view really kinda woke me up. Ya a lot of it is cold metal and noise pollution but that is human ingenuity on display. People made all of this, and it has its own beauty. Beauty which has been made with human hands.Related content

Humans make their own nature, after all. From the dawn of time, humans have created meaning in what they saw around them. This is only a marker of progress, but a needed one, I think.
