True, but to add new heroes, there must be at least 2 new classes (1 for zombie side and 1 for plant side), and that means A LOT of new cards with different mechanics. Making them would take a lot of time.

ok, so let me calculate something.
if they added a new class (X) for let's say the plant side that would make for the combinations...
X/Mega-Grow
X/Solar
X/Guardian
X/Kabloom
X/Smarty
that would be 5 new heroes for the plants with just one new class!
maybe they will add one new class per side and one or two heroes for each of them in an update, and in later updates they'll add the rest of the combinations left with that class.

and they would probably have to add more effects and stuff, like...
mega grow has bonus attacks, solar has healing, extra sun making and striketrough, guardian has bullseye, armored, amphibious and team-up, kabloom has... umm... and smarty has bounce and freeze, what new feature could X have?

btw, I though of the concept of an effect that says "when it hits the opponent, does progressive damage" represented by the numberΒ like in the case of armored how much damage it reduces.

Hey, there could be more things like this to different cards, like "when it hits a zombie, that zombie gets -1 damage in the end of the turn"
(in this case it couldn't be every end of turn cuz it would be too OP)

Also, there can be something like "taking away abilities", or adding them, like He-Zombie add to a zombie Pea Pod's ability (I still want to play as him)
Example: you use it on Papparazzi Zombie, and it no longer gets +1/+1 for each enemy trick.

oh! I got it!, am ability that says:
"this cannot be affected directly by the opponent"
such as in, this cannot be bounced, frozen, it cannot get stats decreased, damaged or killed, if not by cards on the board.
(would THAT be too OP?)

First - I LOVED IT
Second - Nothing is too OP for a legendary
Third - I think it would be fine to "non-legendary" too, but if it ends up being too OP, it can be just "Can't be damaged or killed by tricks" to a card, "Can't be bounced" to other card, "Can't be frozen" to other, "Can't be frozen or bounced by tricks" to other...

Yes, but it all depends on the rarity and sun/brain cost u.u (is "rarity" right? I used Google translator ;-; )
Some expensive rare or super-rare cards would have immunity to them too.
Also, these abilities usualy reduce stats (Vanilla is 3/3 and costs 3. Chilly Pepper also costs 3, but is 2/1 because of the ability), so it would help to balance.
