I try not to hate anyone, sure I have strong dislikes such as I dislike people who are over-exaggerating their real lives.

I knew someone who "emo'd" over a big brother that treated them like shit, everyones big brother/sister treats the younger one badly but they still are loved by said sibling right? - I mean, I have a friend also who is happy, jolly and never depressed unless it's because they have a good reason. They were depressed when the family found out she was sexually harrassed by another family member.

Emo stands for Emotional; Stop treating it like a fashion trend, same for new trends like been a nerd when you don't actually seem to surpass your target grades, etc.

This makes me feel old (which I kind of am, but yeah) - I don't think the word "emo" became popular until I was almost out of high school. I think people who fit the emo description were mostly the "artsy" kids when I was in school.

Anyway, don't mind them. It's a waste of energy. Somewhere, there's a group of people who probably hate whatever group you belong to, ST. It's a sad, dull cycle.

People have their own reasons to be depressed, but I feel like emos try to push that on other people, and they often don't realize what they have. They'll grow out of it eventually. :/

I know this is DAS, but seriously, secrets like these shouldn't be submitted. I'm what you would call emo, but to be honest, emo doesn't mean what this ST described it to be as, it's a style of fucking music.

i don't judge but i find a lot of those people at my school are real selfish and innapropriate i hate how they cut their healthy bodies when other people lose their lives and loved once to horrible diseases , who am i to judge though . i understand how you feel ST xxx

I don't mind the dress style, hair etc, in fact i love it!
Its just some, and not all - a lot of my friends are what you'd call "emos" - do act so stereotypically and it does do my head in.

Depression is a serious thing and it annoys me so much when people act all depressed just to fit in with a stereotype.

I totally understand you. I really do.

But i also think that we all have phases as we grow older and wiser and get to know ourselves better.

I mean no hard by saying this but i have seen and known people who, in their journey to adulthood went from lesbian to bisexual to atheist to a convinced christian, to a missionary.
I have also known people who used to cut, do harm intentionally(they are 30 yrs old at the present time and still enjoy the sadness/misfortune of the other), got pregnant, had abortions, and soooooo on.

I could go on forever.
Suddenly, emos don t seem that bad after all

I hate cunts who hate on emo's because they're different. Least emo kids don't wander round on street corners getting their girlfriends pregnant at fucking stupid ages like 15. Least most of them don't play shit music like that auto-tuned crap out on buses and at least emo kids don't wander round like douches with their pants have way down there bloody asses.
Emo's are usually people who've had to deal with a lot of shit in their lives.
Its people like you that cause some people who are less stable to hurt themselves, think about what you say. Most of my mates are emo's I know that emo's aren't any of those things you've listed. The people who are, aren't emos. They're posers. Know the difference.
