Description
Well, originally my editor wanted a parody image of the classic Wolverine shot where his fist is under the chin of Deadpool, but unlike the classic image, only the middle claw is popped and going through DP's head and coming out the top. But, not breaking the fabric of DP's mask. A classic way to get around the sensors.But that felt a little lame because you can't see DP's face for a good reaction. So I came up with a different approach. Seen here. [IMG][link] The editor liked it but it was ultimately shot down by those same sensors for being "too much". Haha. So "one" claw through the head = OK. Three claws = No way Jose.
So instead, we went with what you see above in final form. A more metaphorical cover, as DP isn't really tiny, it's just I thought it would be funny if he was laying on a bed of nails(claws). Just like the cover I did for issue 53 [link]
DP really doesn't have 6 arms.

I love the detailed lines, the hair (stubble and arm hair) the gloves and cowl, your drawing is very detailed and considering Deadpool is so small you still gave him his signature belt buckle, some artiist forget, awesome drawing, can't wait to see the rest of the drawings

Weird that the censors had a problem with it, since Djurdjevic did a (comparatively) graphic image with Wolverine popping all 3 claws up through Blade's head for a Blade cover a few years ago.

Aw, I liked that other sketch. I'd love to see a fully worked up version of that. I like seeing your take on Wolverine. I always wondered if you and Risso based Lono's look on him. And thus wondered if you'd both draw him the same. Risso did in his mini series and you seem to have given him the scowl and a toned down version of the teeth. Very groovy image.

Wolvie either has massive hands, or only intimidates those with narrow heads. The whole "un-popped," middle claw thing never made much sense anatomically, so I really dig the sketch.
Tiny DP on bed of claws is pretty great though.

That's a shame, I love the other two ideas way better (but you did a great job with this one too)! Maybe they can get used for less censored prints or something cool in the future. I especially like the soda leaking from the slashed can, very nice touch.
