Well, both started a revolutionary movement, that used the discontent of the nation about bad politics and economic crisis to be popular and get the support of the people; both used symbols, a propaganda system and some kind of philosophical theory to justify their political behavior; in both cases was no freedom of press in the countries, only their propaganda media; both keep themselves on the goverment at any price; both used the indoctrination to persuade the youth that THEIR way is the RIGHT way; both promoted the hate to other people/countries that don't support their politics...

For some things, isn´t a significant proportion of the press in Venezuela still kind of extremely critical of mr Chavez´s policies?
Isn´t Venezuela still a capitalistic country?
Have mr Chavez made executive orders that allows him and his governement to take complete control of all sectors of the country´s economy, in case of an unspecified emergency?
Does it attempt to give the military the authorization to secretly arrest and trie Venezuelan citizens?
Does he and his governement make secret laws, like the EU?
Are there cameras on every street corners?
How many countries have Venezuela invaded since mr Chavez took power? How many governements have mr Chavez plotted to overthrow?
The coup 10 years ago against mr Chavez, if something similar had happened against mr Bush or Obama, the responsibles would have faced a kangaroo court, tried for treason and executed, even the smaller fishies would have faced life in prison without parole.

OMG, what suppost to be all that? I dont' pretent to say that the politics of the USA or the EU are better than that, the most "leaders" of the most countries around the worldmake that kind of stuff and nobody knows or pretent to ignore it. I don't come from the USA or EU, I'm from Colombia and also have good friends who're living in Venezuela, it could be nice some time ago over there but now it isn't.
btw, as far I know, to take away the homes or work places of many people, and I'm talking about family business and not big capitalistic enterprises, or to limit the free speech right of the people is NOT the "humans rights" ideology.
At least, if you've read the description of the stamp, it's just my opinion and I'm not pretending to create any polemic but you should also take a look to the comments of the stamp, specially the comments on the spanish version of the stamp, even from Venezuelan people or just people that live there.

Of course, that some other countries are worst off in some aspects is a rather limited excuse but Chavez got elected and 12 years later, his supporters are still more numerous than his detractors, so I can´t help but remaine somewhat sceptical that he is as terrible as some makes him sound.
