Description
This is a sketch of Ladytron I did for a friend as a birthday present. It's her favorite character so thought she would dig the sketch. Done entirely in white and black ink, Copic markers, and Prismacolor pencils. I added a graphic style background in photoshop just for the hell of it. 5 hours total.For anyone that doesn't know who Ladytron is, she's a character who appeared in WildCATs from Wildstorm Comics as a new member of the team a few years back. She was very much like Tankgirl in that she was a bit punk, shot a lot of guns, and liked to dress as weird as possible. Because her entire body(except the upper part of her head) is mechanical she was always attaching different things to it like motorcycle handle bars, care mirrors or whatever she could get her hands on. I like the idea of an angel since it flies in the face of her true nature.

i think great detail makes a great art... im not into simplified things, whenever i do anything basic i hate it ^^
ive always loved the detail. gives the viewer something to look at in greater depth, like a never ending journey for your eyes to search the picture.
definately inspirational to better my own art looking through your gallery, ive been a comics fan for a long time.

It's a really nice drawing. But unfortunately I think the concept of the charatcer clashes with itself as I don't think Punk rock mixes well wtih a character that is almost 95% robotic. Even in apoclaytic based universes like ShadowRun the hackers don't seem to be that mechanical.

And LadyTron kicks all sorts of @$$! Alan Moore and Travis Charest created one of the coolest characters to appear in WILDCATS! But I have to say - calling this a sketch...? This should be in one of the Wildcats books as a pin-up... Very nice!
