OKAY TOWER OC LORE POST

but for the rest of you, I'll tell about it briefly below.

This is First and Second. These are not their real names, but rather nicknames that I am more comfortable calling them. Don't ask me what these nicknames mean, I don't know, just take it. They are both liches, afterlife lords, and were once very long ago human beings. They're also siblings, though that doesn't matter after their death, because they're much more connected by Mortis’ spell.
Mortis is death. And I don't mean it metaphorically, or rhetorically, or poetically, or theoretically, or any other fancy way. (c) She’s death
They both serve her, but are forced to do so rather than want to do it. Second is the commander of the undead hordes, and First is kinda the high priest.
Second and First are not ordinary liches, they are the supreme liches, the right and left hands of Mortis, the Pillars of Death. The three of them make up the strongest triad of the underworld. The Pillars of Death are inextricably bound together by the seal of Mortis, and no one but herself can break that seal.

I would like to speak separately about First, because Mortis has assigned a special role to him - the Calling of the Listener. He hears all the voices of the dead passing through their lands. Always. 24/7. He is forced to hear the cries and wailing of the forsaken souls in order to filter out the right information for Mortis. That's why First is frankly insane and usually very aggressive. The high mental load is something he has been used to for thousands of years, so his demands on others are always very high.
