The colors are so perfect in this image! The background lighting is simply superb and the contrast of dark and light make this image a wonderful winter wonderland!

love the color of this IR-Shot.

first "not hoya-IR-filter" that is very good. btw very nice gallery you have.

DimensionSeven In reply to dkraner [2008-05-05 19:18:33 +0000 UTC]

Thanks, but what do you mean by 'first not HOYA IR filter'? The Hoya R72, the Cokin P007 and the Wratten 89B are all equal filters, all cut at 720 nm.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

dkraner In reply to DimensionSeven [2008-05-05 21:46:13 +0000 UTC]

yea, i just did not know your "Cokin P007" IR-Filter before.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DimensionSeven In reply to dkraner [2008-05-05 21:50:46 +0000 UTC]

it's actually the cheapes IR filter around. it's a square filter, not a screw-in, so some DIY tinkering is needed for proper shading.

I got one used and converted it for IR only... [link]

Neutron2K In reply to DimensionSeven [2008-03-28 18:51:34 +0000 UTC]

Thats an incredible shot!

I was toying with modifying my D200 for IR shots but I don't really want to mess with it to be honest. I'll take a look into it a bit later on in my photography career when i've ammased all the other kit I want (altough I pretty much have everything I want with the exception of a 500mm f/4 lol)

Need to start saving money for a house now! Am skinto!

I didn't do it myself either - it was done by [link]
A house? I'm earning 500-550 Euros a month as a medical doctor; after having paid the rent for sublet, my bills, my food and the petrol, about 100-150 Euros are left. I can buy a house in 200 years too!
What a piece of junk this country is...
You know a job for a paediatrician near you by any chance?

Neutron2K In reply to DimensionSeven [2008-03-28 22:56:54 +0000 UTC]

I earn £2,000 a month and have about about 1500 to spend after tax, 1000 after loan payments etc and can I save? can i bollox! I dont even rent a place, I still live with my parents lol. UK is a joke for house prices and salaries.

Beautiful and simple.
Two words that combine and compliment each other.
Just a shame the whites (or should i say greens?) look too redish.
Still, i pretty much like it, specially the sky tones!

Gorgeous shot. Splendid atmosphere. I like this picture a lot, it looks like an old picture of werol that i really enjoyed it. But yours is even better because is not manipulated. Good job.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DimensionSeven In reply to catalin-scorus [2008-01-31 10:24:08 +0000 UTC]

what do you mean by not manipulated? every infrared photo is manipulated to a certain level, that's the nature of digital IR.

👍: 0 ⏩: 2
