The colors are so perfect in this image! The background lighting is simply superb and the contrast of dark and light make this image a wonderful winter wonderland!

Thanks, but what do you mean by 'first not HOYA IR filter'? The Hoya R72, the Cokin P007 and the Wratten 89B are all equal filters, all cut at 720 nm.

it's actually the cheapes IR filter around. it's a square filter, not a screw-in, so some DIY tinkering is needed for proper shading.

I was toying with modifying my D200 for IR shots but I don't really want to mess with it to be honest. I'll take a look into it a bit later on in my photography career when i've ammased all the other kit I want (altough I pretty much have everything I want with the exception of a 500mm f/4 lol)
Need to start saving money for a house now! Am skinto!

A house? I'm earning 500-550 Euros a month as a medical doctor; after having paid the rent for sublet, my bills, my food and the petrol, about 100-150 Euros are left. I can buy a house in 200 years too!

what do you mean by not manipulated? every infrared photo is manipulated to a certain level, that's the nature of digital IR.
