Backgrounds/Personality:
Lark is a ranger and works at the Yellowsalt National Park. Very protective of the earth's natural flora, Lark seeks to heal the wounds of Equestria with her nature based magic. She is very different from her mother, where she doesn't care for animals besides bunnies. She isn't very nice and prefers to be difficult - having an explosive temper and unapologetic snark. She can get away with a lot because of her looks and exotic mysteriousness. She owns a shop that sells many naturally made items and has made a small name for herself. The mare isn't very powerful and has found chaos something hard to work with; she can only levitate, heal and change into smaller animals.
Fluttershy’s firstborn, she was conceived and born out of the whirlwind romance between her mother and her father, Discord. She was entirely unplanned but Fluttershy welcomed her to the world as if she was planned...but Discord was not ready to be a parent. He was sorely unprepared for the realities of swaddling, feeding and changing a baby in the unholy lateness of the night, or looking after her to make sure she didn’t somehow shift into another dimension. At the end of the day he was too immature despite his eons of living and experiences and decided it was best to leave Fluttershy and his daughter...they seemed fine without him anyways and Discord didn’t feel needed. This turned Lark’s mother’s life upside down and made her spiral into very destructive behaviors. If it weren't for her best friends she would have spiraled into nothingness.
This draconequus has a lot of baggage.
Relationships:
Fluttershy: The pegasus is one of the few ponies Lark can stand. Fluttershy believed Lark deserved the best even though life in Lark’s earlier stages was very difficult. Lark admires her mother even though she thinks Flutters could learn a thing or two from her about putting her hoof down. Her mother is very proud and is happy that her own daughter brought up making her life's mission to protect forests. They come together for tea every Monday and Friday since Lark moved out and has her own place since she started working for the reservation park.
Applejack: Lark never really considered Applejack her...real mom. She was always just her step-mom. The earth pony loves Lark but they butt heads a lot and sometimes things got heated. Lark felt like Applejack always cared more about her sons more than her and it stung.
Morning Harvest: Be rude, look at or lilt your voice in a wrong way towards Morning and Lark will show you her teeth and make sure you suffer. He is her little brother and she is very protective of him. Lark knew it was her job to look after him when she was able to hold him as a foal for the first time. Morning has stumbled around in life quite a bit but she is quite proud of him finally finding his footing.
Johnny Gold: Johnny is her youngest brother but they never really got along. She knew he was trouble when he was being spoiled rotten by her mothers, and he let it get to his head. He was their little golden apple and they never let her forget it, especially Applejack. The relationship between her brothers always grated on her nerves and she didn’t like how mean Johnny was to Morning in their early school years...it made an already shy Morning regress. She knows now as adults Johnny wants to reconcile but the idea of how fake he could be never left her mind.
Discord: One of the reasons Lark has a lot of issues was due to her father up and leaving her and Fluttershy. The thought of him makes her blood run cold and sours her mood. She can’t believe that he ruined her mother’s life like that and refuses to forgive him.
Hijack and Rajani: Discords other daughters, Lark wants nothing to do with either of them… she feels like they are much more loved by their father and she feels a bite of jealousy anytime she thinks of it. The letters and messengers Lark gets from Hijack are sorely ignored and sent back. Jealously is something she is dealing with when thinking of the sisters.
The Pie Triplets: The triplets are ponies Lark doesn’t really care about as long as they left her brother alone; what they did in their free time wasn’t her business and they are constant customers. The brother might have a crush on her but she doesn’t really know for sure…

The last Apple ...Lark changed a bit too. I wanted the Apple kids to look like they were all Flutter's kids but unique and different. I feel like old Lark and Morning looked...too much the same! And of course they colors were super muted. She's more bright and soft looking which I like. Other than that her design is similar. She kept her wolf paws and bird back legs and beaver tail. She's still a bitch but she loves her little brother.
