Candayce: "Cute? Have you seen this body?"

Fae: "Yes, and it is one of the most adorable creatures I have ever seen. I have to hug you." (Proceeds to hug her)

And here's my second entry for Taliesaurus ' DINOVERSE ART CONTEST , featuring Candayce Chambers in her Leptoceratops body. For those who don't know, Candayce Chambers was one of the first students to be sent back in time to inhabit the body of a dinosaur, as Scott Ciencin's stories involve students being sent back in time to possess the bodies of dinosaurs. Before that, Candayce was Wetherford's beauty queen, one of the most attractive people in the student body. Unfortunately, her beauty was only outside. If you looked at her heart, you'd see someone nasty.

So, when she was sent to the body of a Leptoceratops, she didn't take the transition well.

Anyway, here I decided to do her meeting another character of the book I'm working on, Fae Clawword. Fae is a native of my story's setting and has grown up knowing dinosaurs of her world. There are some mammals, but most of them are not pleasant. The only exception looks like a cross between a squirrel and a weasel. As a result, I imagine Fae would find a Leptoceratops absolutely adorable (while Candayce finds the body hideous). Just trying to show different views from two different worlds.

The pose was done by tracing over an illustration of James Gurney's in the first Dinotopia book, so I can get the pose right. I did have to shrink the dinosaur down to get Candayce more at a proper size compared to a human (even though Fae is 5'2. Yeah, she's tall for a 12-year-old).
