Description I tweaked my gag MOC and tried to make a proper Samus Aran. The shoulders are really screwy to get right.

Made in LDD.

Hmmmm.....

Depends on how big you want to make it. For the armor plates on the back, Bionicle (G1 or G2) armor pieces would give you the best selection.

If you're going for scale with this model of Samus, that's going to be a bit tricky. However, there's a piede that's called "globe top" in LDD that's used for the top of hot air balloon sets that would work as the translucent part of the abdomen. Mixing system and technic pieces along with the CCBS pieces would be your best bet.

CCBS would be Hero Factory, G2 Bionicle, and the large figure sets such as those for Star Wars and Legends of Chima.

I made a couple versions of Samus in LDD myself.  I did the first one months ago and I completed the second one a bit ago......and then I found yours.

Using the Breakout Evo helmet sealed the whole piece. Nice work.

Thank you!

I'd like to do the shoulders better, but I couldn't quite find the right pieces.

You're welcome!

Yeah, the shoulders could use a little bit of work, but they still look good. I know there are some old Bionicle parts that would be good for the shoulders. I can't remember which ones though XD

I already tried the shadow leech sphere halves. I could get anything that I really liked that didn't severely hinder articulation.

Have you tried using any of the Bohrok's weapons? I know the one that you see all the time in Bionicle sets can be used for the shoulders, but it would take a lot of arm editing as well.

You mean the Bohrok hands? Ja, those aren't available in LDD. Nor are they convex enough.

Ah. I see.
What does convex mean? XD

Convex and concave refer the the way a surface is curved in a dome fashion. Convex is like a dome. Concave is like a basin.
