This works on so many levels. The pattern creates optical movement and a simultaneous illusion with the depth of field. Is the "black spiral" in front of - or behind the green of the leaves?

i bet this was a lot of fun to make , i love the off centering of the shot it adds a seance of drama

Yes this was fun to make. It's fun trying to combine simple elements into something artistically interesting. To me it's art at it's most Zen basic. As a leaf spiral it looked interesting but yes I agree it's the framing of the photograph that gives this image interest.
