Yaoi is fun and it's not just this scene lol unlike the Noah/Cody pairing which is based solely on one small (accidental and totally unintentional on their part) scene. Here Duncan/Alejandro are actually suspiciously friendly and like each other.

Yeah but it doesn't seem like it anymore. That's what I'm guessing anyway since Duncan was happy that Heather took him down in the finale. Ugh, worst finale ever. D:

It was only bad starting from when Alejandro stops to talk to Heather instead of just throwing the dang effigy in. But no, he had to gloat and then find out whether she wanted him or the money more (and he was very willing to share had she chosen him) and then she does the kick thing and then the volcano erupts after a brief struggle with Zeke which was really cool, and then the event.
Maybe Duncan is hiding his interest in Alejandro behind his mean comments like Courtney? Normally I'm all Duncan/Gwen but they didn't seem together any more than friends in the aftermath and final episode (well, it didn't focus much on them but still).
And Duncan was suspicious and plotting to double-cross Alejandro lol. They were totally friend-rival things. They went together so well lol.

^3^ Courtney (as much as I hate her) have more dominating personality, inward and outward. And as much as she claim she loved Duncan, she loved being in control more than anything else.
And for Duncan who allowed to be abused and controlled around for this long show either that he really is a submissive male underneath his "Bite-me-and-die" front or simply enjoy being dominated by someone badder or stronger than him.

He likes being dominated by someone stronger. He respects people who exude power and stand up to his bark. He respects Leshawna, Harold (when he fights back, but hates him when he's weak), probably Eva (though they don't have much interaction), Heather, Gwen, Courtney (all pretty strong girls in their own ways, just some of them very very cruel like Courtney), Chris (sometimes, although Duncan does only likes a certain power that comes naturally, not from contrived things like Contracts), Chef, Alejandro, etc.
But he seems to love playing submissive to anyone stronger. Anyone weaker and he will turn on them quickly. Duncan seems to be an authoritarian mindset guy where those who hold largest stick get all and he respects that. Of course, there is only so long he respects abuse which is a kind of illegitimate kind of power which he can't respect. Well, when he's not the one doing it.
Courtney is a control freak. A very obsessive control freak. Why do people like her again?

I am not a psychiatrist/psychologist. But it is a fascinating area that I really like studying and am really interested in.
