Hullo folks,

I was willing to do this meme for a while now. There's no denying that some couples resonate with us more than the others, whether as kids or as adults. Today, I'm going to quickly go over my top 10 comfort pairings, thus, you can find couples/ships that make me feel all happy and fuzzy inside. For this meme, I'll be covering both couples I've already used/talked about in the past, as well as some newcomers.
Before we go, I'd just like to clarify a couple things:

1. This list in NO PARTICULAR ORDER, which means I'm not gonna rank any pairing above or below the other and the placings are completely random. I'm including both canon couples and fan ships - thereby, if a couple isn't confirmed to be canon, but has hints going for them, it counts.

2. Despite my inclusion of "Wolf's Rain" (a teen anime), don't worry, there will be no brutal or shocking scenes to be seen - just a perfectly static shot of two characters close to each other, okay? I strive to make my memes and art as enjoyable for ALL AUDIENCES as possible. Therefore, please, don't freak out.

3. As if wasn't clear enough from the title alone, this list is PURELY SUBJECTIVE. That means all of these choices are based strictly on MY OWN TASTE and if you disagree, that's perfectly fine. Just don't be rude about it, all right?

With that out of the way, let's get started!

[Don't worry, there will be no spoilers. Or at least, I'll try not to give any.]

★ 10. Slugger & Buttons ("My Little Pony" 1984-87) - I remember the first time I saw episode where these two appeared together (yes, I used to watch the OG "My Little Pony" a lot as a young girl Born in 2002). The episode in question is "Somnambula", where the titular witch baits many ponies into a crooked "funfair" and takes away their youth (to be clear, I got nothing but respect for the elderly!). The reason these two are here is simple - not only do they look cute together, but they also remind me od a simpler time in life, when I didn't have as many things to worry about.

★ 9. Moominpappa & Moominmamma ("The Moomins") - another couple that reminds me of childhood. Not only are these two a lovely married couple, but also great parents for our protagonist, Moomintroll. One thing I like about the 1977
stop-motion version is the fact they made Moominpappa a darker colour than his wife, I think it makes things a bit more interesting.

★ 8. Todd & Vixey ("The Fox and the Hound", 1981) - what else can I say about these two fluffy foxies other than they make an adorable couple and complement each other very well? Vixey caught Todd's attention with her beauty and with the help of Big Mama the owl, these two fell deeply in love. Oh, and there's even a book where they have two pups of their own, but I'm not sure whether it's canon to the main film or not.

★ 7. Thumper & Miss Bunny ("Bambi", 1943) - I've already used them for my Easter special meme, so, I'll keep it brief here. What makes these two a lovely couple is their brief but well-executed scene when they bond and share affection together, which leads to them eventually falling in love and having daughters of their own. Truly, an exlample of a classic Disney couple.

★ 6. Rudy Targuy & Mia Rodriguez ("BaskUp: Tony Parker", 2012-14) - I've already discussed why I ship these two in a past meme, so, again, I'll try to keep this one brief. In short, what makes them work as a couple is not only their close bond with each other, but also the numerous hints sprinkled throughtout the series and them embodying the innocence of kids' first crushes. They're just loveable together.

★ 5. Kovu & Kiara ("The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride", 1998) - this is simply a couple to root for. Don't get me wrong, I like the romance between Kion and Rani, too, but what makes Kiara and Kovu work more than the previous pair, is the fact that Kiara did not fall for Kovu because of some magical, supernatural gift/roar - she accepted him for pretty much who he IS, thereby, making their love story all the more authentic and believable. These two had a lot of development and I applaud them for that.

★ 4. Kiba & Blue ("Wolf's Rain") - I used them in multiple works on my account and gone over why I like them before, so, this one will be, once again, quick. I respect Blue and Hige as a canon couple, but I prefer Blue with Kiba because they have similar, strong personalities and they both won't be broken because od hardship. On top of that, they get along very well and together are powerful. I highly recommend "Wolf's Rain" to all growing teens and their parents.

★ 3. Scamp & Angel ("The Lady & the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure", 2001) - think all you want of the sequel, I respect your opinion, but personally, I like the second installment in the TLAT franchise. Sure, the movie isn't perfect, but it's watchable, unlike some of the other Disney sequels. Like Rudy and Mia, these two puppies embody the innocence and wonder of first childhood relationships and genuinely support each other. In other words, what a beautiful puppy love.

★ 2. Simba & Nala ("The Lion King" franchise) - another classic Disney couple who have more than just being cute together going for them. Bethrothed as little lion cubs, they fell in love in a dark jungle, got married and eventually - had two cubs of their own, Kiara and Kion (and no, I'm not including any scrapped cubs of theirs or Kopa, since he's a
semi-canon character, like Uru, and not an official one), both of which eventually got into marriages of their own. Not only is their chemistry apparent, but they also support and love each other unconditionally. That's a huge good point for them.

Some other couples I'd like to quickly mention:

♠ Tramp and Lady ("The Lady & the Tramp")
♠ Pingu & Pingi ("Pingu")
♠ Bolt & Mittens ('"Bolt")
♠ Hot Max & Stylish Pati ("Dog Stories")
♠ Balto & Jenna ("Balto")
♠ Ulrich Stern & Yumi Ishiyama ("Code Lyoko" + "CL: Evolution")

★ 1. Dax/Ash & Jinja/Vicky ("Monsuno", 2011-15) - we all knew they'd be on the list, because I ship them so hard, didn't we? Dax/Ash is a typical, tough bad boy with a heart of gold and Jinja/Vicky is a
kind-hearted, no-nonsense tomboy who loves adventures. These two would make a nice power couple. I used them in multiple works of mine and they will always be one of my favourite couples of all time.
