The color scheme you picked is perfect for this composition. Warm skin tones on cool background gives our eyes a natural draw to the subject's face and her eyes. The boldness of her eyelashes create a certain tension that also adds to eyes tracking where they need to be which is perfect for a portrait piece!

The atmosphere is achieved through the larger flakes of snow dropping down through the foreground. I encourage you to not be afraid of dropping the larger flakes in front of her body, too. Since the snow looks like it is trying to politely avoid dropping on her, even though we see the evidence on her that that this is not the case (a nice touch, btw, as you have the subject interacting with the background) I am assuming you avoided this to keep the subject pristine, but some times when even a minuscule amount of a subject is blocked it makes the rest of it precious.

Her lips are so beautifully drawn but we cannot see them with the same vividness as her eyes because they lack the same stark contrast as eyelashes as dark laahes upon dark skin. It makes it that kuch more important to hint at the contours of the bottom and top tiers as much as we can through 3 crucial points: the tear drop of the opper lip and the corners of the mouth, especially the corners as they are the darkest point of a face anatomically. A small amount of exaggeration at these points will really help future portraits come to life!

A small amount of warp manopulation could fix the head positioning that others have noted. You are trying to do a 3 quarters view with both her head and collarbome, we just need to make her shoulders get with the plan! So pushing in her left shoulder w highlights and lmore contrast) (it is closest to us), and the othed shoulder lengthened.

Heyo! I've come across your art from the Project Comment group! Now.....

Wowie, now ain't that a beauty!

After reading through the other comments on this piece, I can definitely agree that the roughly painted style looks great for this concept as if she were in a blurry, foggy snowfall! The use of snow in both the foreground and background give this piece a lot of depth, and the snow piling on her head also makes it feel very real and lifelike.

As for the actual drawing and painting, it's very well done. You've used a lot of different shades and hues to give the colouring more depth and realism, and having those colours painted how they are (roughly), adds to the piece's uniqueness and....sparkle? I'm sorry, I don't really know how to put it, haha, but you know, it makes the picture stand out against all those clean-lined drawings and anime. (Not that those aren't good too)

However, one thing that stood out to me was the positioning of the head. It looks a little too far positioned to the left like it's awkwardly protruding from the neck. It's not too big of a standout, just after looking at the painting for a bit I noticed. In addition, her left ear (our left not hers) seems a bit too perked forward also. If her head is turning to a side, I feel like the back ear should be pointed back a bit, because ears most of the time sit a bit flatter to the side of our heads.

Overall, its a really awesome looking piece! I can see a lot of time and effort went into painting this, and you did a fantastic job! One more thing I forgot to mention was the eyes. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM. They look very detailed and perfected.

To be honest, you did a excellent job on the skin coloring! While I'm at it, you did a wonderful job on the snow as well! Keep up the fantastic work!
