notre gouvernement a demissionne hier, ce qui a un peu calme les choses.
pres de moi c'est calme, mais "la-bas" c'est encore chaud.
donc oui, on respire, on est sorti de la maison aujourd'hui. la vie, normalement.

Strong shot, with that smoke rising up through picture frame as the sparks descend.
A good protest to make.

Thanks, Richard. Yes, indeed, a good protest to make, but I am a bit concerned that it is some kind of game between the two sides, and that there is no real fight on the ideas.

That's a very good point. Sometimes there are confrontations with two very different sides, but both sides are in the end disenfranchised - the decisions that keep many people down and lift a few up are made far away where street protest does not reach.

When I squint my eyes, it looks as if this was taken during the French revolution, when many a head rolled, even the square ones! The Bastille feels so near, and the cold iron of the guillotine even closer. So, fascists, beware!
A fine and mightily captivating shot, JD. It's full of tension, and the "dirty" colors enhance the feel of something important, even dangerous, taking place.
Hey, that one would find a home not only in street photography, but as well in photojournalism.

Thanks, Bruno. Fascist beware, but also people, beware. Fascists are around the corner, and when the economy is bad, people are ready to listen to anything.
Yes, it could be well in photojournalism, I fully agree, but as I was looking for the graphical aspect of things, I thought it was not only journalism.

Thanks! Well, we have a few protest every year on that topic, sometimes some will turn violent. This one was pretty quiet.
