L: W-We've been running.... *Huff* For.... hah... 3 hours......
DJ: Suck it up! We've got to get moving! Plus you needed some fresh air! Come on! *Trots away* We're almost done anyways...
L: H-Hey! Wait! *Gasps quickly and starts running after her*

So I came back from a run with my mother. I'm not sure what it is about today, but today I felt like I was dying! Which doesn't normally happen xD
Also, I did a background! I was experimenting with it a bit and thought it would be nice to start incorperating backgrounds!
I'm still new to the whole thing so.... Yeah.
How did I do? Does it look okay?
If you have any tips on that could help me get better at this that would be great! >.<

Well, I really like the ponies, the heavy outline.
The overall BG looks fine, but I'd add some more detail to it, especially to the leaves of the trees.
In my drawings... well, I spend 3 times longer time drawing the background than the main character/s. Maybe I'm just a perfectionist... no, not maybe. I am one.
The slight coloring is great! Love it

Seriously, I can see your style having a big imprint not only on pones but on background as well.
I like how you did the multile plan thing. And the trees look bizzare, just as one would expect xD
If you really want me to point out something to change, I'd say it's the house. I mean, it looks good, but it could
me a bit improved by making the roof stuck out a bit more. So that it doesn't look like it makes one piece
with the rest of construction.
Other than that, I have on idea what more to change. Loptr looks fantastic when exhausted, and your
cherfull trott is something one don't see in your gallery often ^^

The house was something I was a bit iffy about when I was working on it. Honestly I get what you're saying and I'll try and work on it. Might try and figure out a city/town look if I can.
Also Loptr just hates exercise. Dumbass sits in a house all day downing bottles sleeping. He needed a bit of fresh air. Plus the idea was just too funny to resis.

This is a tip, but not for this drawing. Well... I mean you could do it if you want to. XD
One thing I find helpful with the grass is to first shade it lightly and then blend the area in. Then after that make small strokes with your pencil all around to make the grass. Or in different places to add a little something instead of strokes being everywhere. XD
That and after you get finished with the grass you could lightly erase a few parts to make it look as if wind was blowing the grass! ^w^

I'm not sure why something like that has never come to my mind before. I've seen plenty of artists do it before but it completely slipped my mind when I drew this. I might actually go back and fix it if I can. Might turn out nice!
