So here's a 'speed paint' that took up most of my weekend. I decided that Saoirse was going to have a portrait done whether her ladyship liked it or not, and it ended up being all blossomy because this time of year just needed to be painted. Maybe having honeysuckle sticking out of her hair will make her sweeter?

Tried a new technique with this one and blocked out things with a giant round brush instead of starting with a sketch and painting over it. I also started right off with color instead of beginning with black and white values like I usually do. Not sure whether it slowed me down or sped me up, but I think the colors turned out prettier. Perhaps I'll do this again!
