Oh wow, it's been awhile since I posted a picture of Kuro , hasn't it? It's barely the same person since she actually went through about two or three redesigns even after I posted that originally picture of her. I also didn't discuss her character or personality that much, sooo... gonna' make up for that now.

This is Kuro, her full title being Kurokage. She a former street urchin that was orphaned at a young age and immediately got into a bad crowd, committing several petty crimes, involving herself in gang activity, and even darker acts she'd rather not go into. From childhood to her current age she was both an infamous and shadowy figure known for doing several dirty jobs and rarely ever getting into any true form or punishment on the rare moments she was caught. It was only in her late teens and early adulthood did she realize she needed a way out of the criminal world and live a more honest life. She couldn't get away with her crimes forever, especially now that she could be tried as an adult. To that end she joined a local wrestling circuit that was known to take in the less fortunate, covering up her background, bribing a few officials with money and private favors to smooth over her entry, and now works as a ninja-themed wrestler and fighter. She does a few dirty jobs for the company, but a cute face and dark methods makes those jobs pretty easy compare to her previous way of living. Her main goal now is to get the attention and favor of someone with enough connections to permanently erase her criminal record and give her an honest clean slate, ideally with some new identification as well.

Design-wise, Kuro was both simple and tricky. I've done a handful of ninja designs before, but Kuro's personality is meant to be a mix of Cagliostro from Granblue Fantasy and Yunaka from Fire Emblem Engage, a character that acts like a cutesy fool while hiding their sharper, deadlier edge. I've tried a few drafts that mixed ninja and idol-esque designs but none of them really worked. This one I just wanted to have a pretty simple design for. I looked around and based this one off of Ayame from Tenchu with the baggy pants and cut off tank top. The little kimono-poncho-hoodie idea just seemed like a cool thing to go for. I wanted her design to have elements of asymmetry in it and this is what I went for.
