I rarely have the time to do commissions these days, but I did manage to finish this one, of a long-time friend's CITY OF HEROES character. My friend's been waiting patiently for this for far too long--hope he likes it! Hope you guys dig it too.From a technique point of view, this turned out to be an interesting piece, sort of merging my comic book lineart style with some digital painting tricks I've picked up as a concept artist for Paragon Studios.
My style's evolving, and I like the direction this is going, so expect to see more work like this in the future.

This is probably my favorite CoH art I've ever seen. This was so good, I made this outfit on my character on CoH. I deleted it though 'cause I thought about this outfit for my Praetorian instead.

Okay, based on this one picture alone, you will be added to my watch list, and I've already faved this one! I don't play COH, though I've heard of it (of course). I do play WoW though, I wonder if you do any fantasy themed stuff? I'll check out the rest of your gallery, but you are truly talented. My mother is a forty year veteran graphic artist, so I know talent when I see it. (I can barely draw a straight line, but I inherited my skill as a writer from her!) Keep up the good work, and kudos!

Photoshop. I've been experimenting with a lot of textural brush combinations recently, trying to get away from that overly-pristine, plastic-y look you often get with Photoshop.
REALLY glad you thought it might be Painter. Makes me feel like I'm on the right track.

O0o wow yeah I'm definitely surprised you can get that type of texture out of photoshop. All the more impressive. It takes a lot of practice and dedication to come up with something as great as this. Congratulations on a job well done, I would love to see more of this in your future work, imagine an entire comic with this? It would be jaw dropping.
