Description
Some more fanart related to the Nyx stories by and in light of a particular aspect relating to Princess Celestia & Shining Armor’s roles in Past Sins and Winter Bells respectively. Both are kind of cast in some people’s eyes as villains or at least antagonists but really both are simply trying to protect those they love and care for, just in the wrong way and making rash decisions/conclusions. It’s an interesting connection and greatly gives the pair more depth than we might ever get to see in the show or the comics. Please Enjoy and check out some of PenStrokePony ’s work.

That maybe be true in some cases but Penstroke's works involving these two is more just exploring character flaws and shows how while we may have good intentions, if we let fears or paranoia get the better of us, they can turn out having disastrous consequences.

That's an interesting perspective. I don't know why you didn't think they'd only be recurring, supporting characters. I mean the show is about Twilight and her circle of friends. While yes, it gives time to other characters, the mane six are supposed to be the focus of the show and give them. Additionally, while the last two seasons have allowed other characters to step into the mane character role like Starlight, it's going to come back to the six mare who were the focus for the series.

While I agree that the couple do need more development, sometimes when you introduce new characters they can often be more peripheral or more something for special occasions. I mean, given the look of your icon, I'd assume you're a fan of Transformers, what about characters like Tigatron from Beast Wars or Wheeljack from TF: Prime? They were new characters but weren't around all the time. How is that any different from characters such as Cadance and Shining?

I could see that perspective. I would like to see more development of Shining Armor and Cadance but at the same time, they have gotten at least more development over the last couple of seasons.

Hm, that's an interesting way of going about it. While I would like to see them get a bit more development, I'd be more interested in it while somewhat sticking close to the show's continuity; Showing how the pair deal with roles of leadership in the Crystal Empire and the like. Though as I said, your idea does sound intriguing in it's own right.
