Description
a Polaroid taken in North Beach, a district of San Francisco beneath Saint Peter & Paul Church. Just happens on the restroom wall of the school attached to the church this poem was written. I copied it down.the phantom butterfly
the moth flutters its wings
as the girl in the room
waits
and is cute
in her own disguise
As I was leaving a priest asked me if he could do anything for me. Wondering what he would say, I mentioned the poem in the bathroom.
He smiled and said, "Oh yes that is written by one our best students, he just seems to not have any boundaries where he does his writing."
This was the church Marlyn Monroe married
Joltin Joe Di Maggio and where just a few years ago, the funeral for Ol'Joe was held. Used to see him walking on Columbus Avenue heading to his favorite cafe/bar.
