The second of the Ultra Beasts series is Buzzwole. It is a Bug/Fighting type with a base stat total of 570. If it scores a knockout, its Beast Boost ability raises either its Attack or Defense. It is based on a mosquito and a bodybuilder. It’s unclear when it flexes, if it’s boasting its strength or for communication.

Her weapon is the Metallic Mitts, armored gloves worn by gladiators in Dragon Quest 9. They’re actually armor in that game, but with spiked knuckles on them, I don’t think they’d be terrible to use punching your enemies in the face with them. Just pray she doesn’t grab that Savage Lynel Crusher that she carries behind her back. It’s lined with diamonds, so it won’t break. If she whacks you with that club, you aren’t getting up. If you do, you probably only have one broken bone because the rest of them have disintegrated. Both her club and her gloves carry the ability to penetrate defensive buffs, and remove them as well on impact. The crusher gives her extra reach and has a higher critical hit rate, but both hurt like hell.

She is based on Shirley Eson, though you probably know her better as Sky on American Gladiators. I needed a muscular woman to model for her, who was also tall. And at six feet and a bodybuilder, Sky fits the bill! Also fitting is that I found a picture of her flexing, which Buzzwole does for everything. This was also the first time I ever drew a muscular woman, which may come in handy in a future drawing. She was given bandages around her arms for style, and the leggings were modeled after Buzzwole’s legs. I didn’t want to put something similar on her arms because I wanted her muscles to be visible.

Buzzwole loves to fight, and is quick to anger. She often battles only with her bare hands, but when she is facing someone worthy of her strength, she reaches behind her and grabs her Savage Lynel Crusher, which she has modified to make it indestructible, and gave it maximum killing power. If she can easily take a Golden Lynel in a fight (which is how she got that weapon in the first place), what chance do you have?

Leech Life: Buzzwole’s gloves glow and she punches the target at their vitals. Half the damage she inflicts restores her health.

Brick Break: Buzzwole raises her crusher overhead and brings it down like a sledgehammer. This destroys any protective buffs over the target, removing their effects

Earthquake: Buzzwole leaps into the air and punches the ground, shaking everyone around her violently.
Knockout Punch: Buzzwole’s eyes glow as she charges toward her target preparing a deadly uppercut. If this attack lands, it is an instant defeat.
