I had proven myself to be a great warrior by besting Zacian and Zamazenta in battle. They knelt down in front of me, laying their weapons on the ground. They spoke in unison.
“It would seem the stories of your heroism in Alola were not exaggerated. You are the great warrior we’ve been looking for. We will follow you to the ends of the earth. Together, we will restore peace and prosperity to Galar.”
Those who bought the Shield version (not me, sadly), are given the chance to catch the legendary Zamazenta during the post game. It is normally a pure Fighting type, but if it holds a Rusted Shield it changes to Fighting/Steel type, and changes form as well. Its base stat total also changes from 670 to 720! Its only ability is Dauntless Shield, which raises its Defense by 50% upon entering battle. This can make its Defense reach a max of 640. How confident are you in trying to put a dent in that?
Like Zacian before her, her Sailor suit was colored in metallic colored pencils, and given the shoulder guards, both help make the suit look like armor. Shields were placed as her earrings and the bow. Her gloves were redesigned to resemble gauntlets. The Femiscryan Leggings were instead fused with boots. The boots themselves are also armored. You’re not going to crack them, so don’t even try.
Her weapon is not the Rusted Shield. This is the Paladin Shield from Final Fantasy 6, using elements of its various incarnations throughout the series. It’s not a weapon in that game. It’s the best shield you will ever find. Only non-elemental magic can hurt you, and even they may be blocked sometimes. All other spells are either absorbed or nullified. It’s tough to get though, requiring the curse on it to be lifted by fighting a lot of battles with it equipped. Break the curse however, and your shield gets an upgrade worthy of the gods. Her version has been modified into a weapon, and was given razor sharp edges around it, but it no longer provides all those amazing elemental resistances. The shield can randomly lower her target’s Attack after it does damage.
I had planned on her shield to be the Savage Lynel Shield which, like all the Lynel Shields, has bladed edges, making them usable weapons in a pinch. It eats up their durability though, and leaves you vulnerable if you miss. Goofy from Kingdom Hearts also uses a shield as a weapon, which was the inspiration for making Sailor Zamazenta do the same, and make sure the shield has bladed edges.
Attacks:
Behemoth Bash: Sailor Zamazenta enlarges her shield and charges at her enemy, slamming the shield into them. If her target is Dynamaxed, it deals double damage.
Defending Champion: Sailor Zamazenta positions herself in front of her allies and raises her shield. This draws all attacks toward her, and reduces all damage she takes by 90%. This doesn’t trigger the Attack lowering ability.
Revenge: Sailor Zamazenta braces for impact. If she gets hit during this time, this attack does double damage. This forces her to go last.
Magic Mirror: Sailor Zamazenta raises her shield and forms a wall of light in front of her. The barrier reflects magic and projectiles back at their user.
