But on that note how do you feel about fan characters of your comic in general? I have so not been toying around with one in my mind at all.

Something like that! The bird thing will be slow to unfold, but yeah, pretty much every deer has a pair of eyes on the sky. I just choose not to draw them that often because.. well, BIRDS, and because I want them to stay outside the spotlight.
Ohhh man it's your Australian cousin tier! Magpies are such pretty birds I swear to god.
As for the fan characters, you have all my blessings! Just show me, I really want to see.

I like how in this page are presented so many forms of freedom:
you can be free to move even to fly but in the same time you can be restrained by a metaphorical or physical bound,
you can free to do wat ever you want, but be restrained to act according to the expectations of others.
In my opinion, in the real world, there is no real freedom because you need to sacrifice a pice of you fredom to get another one(you need to pay an insurance to not need to worry about your health, at least not so much).
