The day was long as Heidi had arranged a meeting for the family, finally Enoch and Helga could play together and Enoch spend time with Heidi's side of the herd.After hours of fun, it was time to rest, Heidi tended too Helga while Enoch was not that impressed with the shady Yule goat.

Okay, so your geno would be EE or Ee, if the horse is black, two capitals makes it a dominant geno and increases chances of black or bay foals from him. So example Ee/aa/nprl/nG c:

E determines whether the horse has a black based coat, aa would make the horse black, but Ee/Aa or AA would make bay, while ee/Aa or AA is chestnut based c:

While you enjoy the quiet joy of this beautiful winter day together with your children, you suddenly hear hoofsteps approach , and a faint scent of ...blood? makes your ears perk up in alarm as you cautionary call the foals to your side. For a while, the steps stop,as if the horse in question would hesitate to come over to you,but finally, out of the woods, the silhouette of a majestic stallion appears, approaching with a slight limp. "Well hello, Mylady!" He throws you a charming grin and greets you with a slight nod of his head, before raising it as high as before. " Tell me, you don't...coincidentally happen to know where a town called Blackwood might be,dont you? " He clearly hates to have to ask for directions, but overplays it with casual charme and a slight shrug of his sturdy shoulders. "Not that i'd be the type to get lost -its just that I had to fend of that absolutelty disgusting pack of flea-bitten wolves this morning, I fought them off but my map got torn all over during the battle." He sights in annoyance, and now you suddenly realize where the scent of blood is coming from : the stallion, even though he acts as if he's just taking a relaxed walk, has a deep, gnarly slash on his right hindleg, wich also explains his slightly limping gait. The wound is fresh ,with a few last red drops still running down the leg, and you notice a few smaller scratches as well as a nasty bitemark on his shoulder. The next town is about two days of travelling afar, and its pretty rough terrain. You...
… sternly tell him that he has no business walking around like that, all battered, and insist on him taking a rest here while you take care of the wounds? There's no way he would survive the long walk to the town in this condition, if anything, the wolves might catch his track and finish him off once he looses too much blood to fight back.
...offer to take him to the town, just in case-should he get worse, he would at least not be alone if he falls unconscious along the way?
...tell him the direction to the next town and hope he fucks off directly afterwards, you want some alone time with your family, why should you play babysitter for a reckless stranger who horribly overestimates himself?

the item could be explained as a string between the horns with small bones (or metal spikes im not 100% sure which one to go with yet) hanging down and a jingle bell in the middle (or 3 bells spaced out, depends on where i put the string) -w-
I can come back to you when I'm 100% sure on the bells and bones/spikes if you want it to be specific right now XD

btw, no need to go specific, i'd say calling the item "string decorated with small trinkets between his antlers" is perfectly fine, and then you can simply decide wich little décor you want on the strings when you feel like it <3
