pencil drawing on A3 paper. This is the first drawing have done since i left school, there s a few mistakes but i think i did ok and enjoyed doing a large piece with lots of small details.disclaimer:

amazing detail! Your technique is awesome, love the shading and the whole piece in general
But.. Proportions are off. I'm not sure if you intended to make it this way, but with the correct proportions this would be a crazy awesome piece!

i belive the reason some proportions are off is because of the way i sketched the outline. parts i drew with the paper flat on my desk witch can distort your perspectve, whilst parts i drew with it propped against my knees so the page was angled like on an 'easel'.
either way i was a bit impatient and wanted to get the shading done.

I know that from when I lie my head on the table.. That distorts the perspective a lot too xD

i think thats terrible being told "hearing is a luxury" i hope obama goes ahead with the reform.
ive been meaning to buy your portraits book for awhile now so i think i will.

The portraits book isnt done just so fill free to wait awhile. It is so close to being done yet I fill this book is far better than the first book I have out.
