There is a difference in the comics right, the Amazons are specifically a group of all women while Kryptonians are just another race. There is nothing wrong in an all women community existing I feel.
In the darker timelines there are stories of how Amazons would have to give away the male children or even kill them because that what they and the gods had agreed upon.
That is in the comics however, in the real world anyone can wear the costume because they like it or feel powerful and we should support it

How much money are you willing to bet that within this decade, DC will destroy their amazon lore by having a "Wonder man" or something of that nature takeover for wonder woman... he comes from the tribe of amazons... LOL!
Progressive crap, they should keep amazons a female only party, DC is going to do this.

I feel like youre sugar coating the amazon women here, because I read that the gods didn't care, there was no vote, zues made them and gave them to his goddess wife for many different reasons, and they never gave away the male children... they brutally murdered them with the intent that they're useless, which is kind of illogical and weird... because... sex, enough said.
In the original stories of the Amazon women, it is said that they would capture men from different places and would, essentially, "Mate" with them, they would kidnap them using their zues given strength.
Anyway, hey there's nothing wrong with an all female community, I'd love to live upon that community, for scientific reasons, enough said.

In the original story they were women who were wronged by men, reborn as Amazons. The souls were taken by 5 goddesses from the well of souls (Gaia's Womb) which contained these souls. They were made into Amazons.
The ones that came later were dark send gritty retellings that writers tried making.
I'm really not here for scientific reasons personally, I just love the empowering concept of the original story π

I've studied Greek mythology and it's lore for ages now, I've never heard that one, but it sounds like a good Greek lore based RPG... I won't take your word as that being the original telling, but I'll take your word that's one close to it.
I did hear one very near to that but each one of them has zues in it... I mean, zues and women have many stories together.. LOL... that bastard.

It really was, at least in the DC comics.
Demeter, Athena, Aphrodite, Artemis and Hestia were the 5 Greek goddesses responsible. Hippolyta was the first Amazon who emerged from the lake. Antiope was second.
The goddesses also gave them self sustenance the ability to not feel hunger or thirst. They proclaimed Hippolyta queen and Antiope second in command. They also gave the amazons the golden girdle of Gaea and a kingdom.
The goddesses told the new superhuman abilities race of their mission to bring peace to mankind and warned them to not abuse their powers.
The trouble began when Ares manipulates Hercules to attack the Amazons.
The Amazons were warned of the attack by their oracle, Menalippe and they stopped Herculesβ army. Hippolyta bested Hercules in combat and Hercules told his army to stand down and pretended to become allies with the Amazons.
During a feast, Hercules drugged Hippolyta and knocked her out. Meanwhile Herculesβ army attacked the Amazons, enslaved, raped, and tortured them. They set ablaze to their kingdom.
Hippolyta prayed to Athena through her suffering and Athena repeated that the amazons has ignored their purpose and grew corrupt and bitter. She advised to not take vengeance but instead draw strength from Gaea and follow her ways to become free.
Hippolyta understood and broke her chains. She began freeing her amazon sisters while preaching to follow Gaeaβs ways. However some amazons did not listen and began killing their captives, filled with rage for being violated.
Antiope and several amazons wanted revenge and because of her disagreement with Hippolyta, they left and would soon become the Bana-Mighdall Amazons. The rest of the Amazons went to the Aegean Sea to await their patrons. The goddesses expressed their disappointment in them.
They told the amazons they had to wear gauntlets for eternity to remind them of their enslavement and to never let their guard down again. They also had to live on an isolated island where below lies the door way to Tartarus. This island would be called Themyscira.

Heck, alot of that is true for even DC continuity... "Wonder woman, all about love and equality and justice" but sure as heck she is, but sure as more heck, her tribe isn't.

This is why I dislike modern continuities. They are always pushing this "dark and gritty = cool" stuff.
