I saw some chipmunks and squirrels today. The squirrels are still too shy. The chipmunk is still really shy but had I had the hanger down would have gotten a lot of great chipmunk photos. I am not sure if I will be going out tomorrow though. We are suppose to get 6-7 inches of snow Wednesday between the morning and over night.

Yeah we're supposed to get snow tonight, Wednesday and possibly Thursday too...uggghhh. The squirrels and chipmunks probably won't be out, but you never know. They usually huddle up together when its really cold out, not sure about when it snows though.

Downy woodpecker is on the bird feeder right now but haven't seen any rodentia yet so probably not going to be any since it's cold.

I think you're right about that unfortunately. I haven't seen hardly any here today. Usually they are running through out the hedges 3 or 4 at a time. I'm sure they'll be out by the weekend if your weather is turning warmer, like ours is here.

So many birds were out there I went out in a blizzard and tried to get photos. The snow was so heavy nothing really turned out. The trees are all covered in snow. We got like 3 inches in an hour.

I'm sure. I read something somewhere that said that birds come out more when there's a storm and squirrels and chipmunks not at all. It noticed that it is very difficult to take photos in the snow too, much like when its getting dark. Maybe we'll have less snow fall tomorrow, although here its also supposed to be sleet and freezing rain

There was also 2 or 3 squirrels out there until I came out they backed away. My niece and nephew wouldn't leave me alone while I was out there and kept hovering over me. I decide to go out next thing I know the nephew doesn't want to go to his friends he wants to stay and my niece wants to come out. They both decide to go sledding right next to the bird feeders. Then when the girl went in the boy stood by me until I gave up and went in. The photos weren't turning out anyway as the snow left spots in the picture where there was a close snow flake blocking the bird.

Oh no! You'll have to try to preoccupy them with something else before you sneak away next time.  When I'm babysitting, that is when I always see the most amazing birds or scenes that I would love to take a photo of. I try and more times than not, I am interrupted by questions or have to chase after someone. I definitely think some days are better picture taking days than others, I hope you have better luck next time

Thank you and I had great luck today! I forgot to switch from macro to regular and surprise my vision the other day of having past used Macro setting for animal photos was true. Macro settings work wonders on bird photos! You should try using your macro setting for your wildlife photos.

You're very welcome Casey! That's great! I have used macro settings for birds, just not lately. I'll have to try again and see if it makes a big difference with my camera. Thanks for the tip!

My pleasure I am shocked at the difference. You can even on the small screen see each and every fiber of each and every feather without and blurring or pixelizing.

I can't wait to share them. Got some photos of chippy later in the day and cleaned the whole living room, dining room, and kitchen for my mom as an Easter Present. I can't afford to get her anything so I thought it would make her really happy to come home after being gone for two days and seeing the house in better condition then she left it. I figure she's going to be upset coming home expecting the house to be a mess as she left and it was a mess and she's been gone 36 hours and she must expect to walk through a mine field. When she comes in and see not only did I pick up, but I swept, I organized, I cleaned the counters, I organized the counters, end tables, computer desk, tables, and even folded all the blankets and organized the couches as well to look nice with the cushions where cushions belong and a blanket on the back and on the seat. It looks really nice. I'm excited to see her face.

Awe, that was nice of you to do that for your mom. I would love a surprise like that...haha. It sounds like you did a lot of work in the house! I'm sure she loved it

She did love it. She's even now able to take down our Christmas decorations. We always decorate the ceiling for Christmas with wrapping paper, garland, lights, and ornaments. We didn't get it finished this year though. My sister didn't want to work on it and she doesn't let anyone else besides her kids help. I'm not allowed to help without she throwing a temper tantrum. She's in her 30's you'd think she'd outgrow it.

I'm so happy for you, you did a lot of hard work to get it that way! Oh my, sounds like she might have some issues...

She does. She is Bipolar, has major Anxiety, Depression, and has Borderline Personality disorder and hates going to the doctors so she is off her medication. Ironically though she hates going to the doctors she is in College to be a nurse. Ironic huh. xD

Oh wow, that must be hard to handle. Sorry to say this but, maybe she should not be a nurse if she doesn't want to take her medication. Patients need nurses who are on the ball, not ones that are a mess.

I know, I agree with that. Though no one else does and she's already several years in.

Well hopefully at some point she realizes she needs to be at the top of her game and that means taking her medication.

I hope so, or at least learns to make sure her children get their medication.
