Because in my opinion, it doesn't make any sense to ship ponies who don't have personalities. Β Pumpkin doesn't even have much of a personality yet; she's still a baby. I mean, I don't have a problem with people shipping them for fun. I just wouldn't do it because I don't really know anything about the characters. Then again, I also don't like making up personalities for canon characters; I prefer waiting until we know what they are like before I ship them, but that's just me. To each their own, I guess

Imagine if someone went to your page and posted under something you drew stating how dumb they thought the concept was. Wouldn't you feel it was more than a little obnoxious? Wouldn't you also feel a little upset they were trashing on something that brought you enjoyment? Put yourself in their shoes.Β
The fact is someone enjoying this ship as silly as you think it may be is allowed to ship those characters whether you like it or not. Is it that hard to just roll your eyes and ignore ships you think are dumb? Why go out of your way to make them feel bad when you can live and let live and just be happy they've found something that brings them happiness? I don't like the idea of Starlight Glimmer/Twilight ships or Twilight/Flash Sentry ships but I'd never tell someone they were stupid for enjoying it because it only hurts me as much as I let it.
