I always sketch during boring lectures (most of them), and occassionally come up with something that I just have to develop. This is one of those...Doing arms like that is NOT easy, and there is something horribly wrong with the legs, but nevermind. I set out to watercolour it, but the paper warped hideously the moment I got it wet, so I did as much as I could bear and finished with pencils.
And the background is black, really, but my scanner is colour-blind and thinks black is greeny-brown...

His wings are so bright and beautiful! They remind me very much of fire. I like the darkness of this picture as well. It brings out his wings and hair even more.
Oh, and to be honest, I don't think there's anything wrong with his legs. They're very sexy if you ask me!

I actually like the green background a lot, makes a powerful contrast to the orange.. her wings look even brighter now. I bet this pose is hard to draw.. you did a good job

Whoa cool colors, like everyone said. The legs don't seem that bad, and I really like the pose here. Yeah those kind of poses are hard. The wings are really nice-- look unique.
