Description
Saw the trailer to Pokemon X and Pokemon Y.I'm impressed.
I was going to draw a similar pic back when Gen V came out, but was too lazy.

There's usually a 3 or 4 year gap between generations. Gen 5 came out 2010 (in Japan), this new one comes out 2013.

I looked it up, and here was my reaction:

I honestly don't like the names they gave to the new games. It's just feels lazy to me, though then again, having a mineral and color name theme was bound to run out sometime soon. That, and I think that the starters aren't that good, save for the fox one, if only because it's not strangely designed as the other two.

I like the names X and Y. Besides the chromosomes, it's a nod to the XYZ graph used to make 3D graphics.
I also like the starters, they look cooler than the ones from the last two generations.

Didn't know about the XYZ graph thing, since I'm pretty bad with graphics and all that. But yea, I agree, I think that these starters are an improvement over the last two.

I love looking at all the different styles people choose to draw the same characters.
Fennekin seems the coolest, the other characters look weird (I'm not sure what they're supposed to be).
