Description I'm on holiday in Exmouth, Western Australia.  On our way back to our accommodation from snorkeling in the coral reef we went to the bird hide and saw from a long distance a big bird flying around.  When we got to the end of the road we saw it was an eagle.  He was circling for quite a while around the mangrove bush area looking for his dinner and gave us a good opportunity for some nice photos.

Beautiful shot. I did not even know this bird existed. Do you happen to have any photos from snorkeling?

Thank you Priscilla.  There are so many different birds around, it's so hard to figure out what a specific one is.  At least this one was reasonably easy based on where observed it.
No sorry no photos from snorkeling this time, we didn't go quite as often due to the very windy weather. And when we did I was looking after my wife; she loves going for a looksie, but is not a confident swimmer, so I usually guider her along.

I'm not the most confident swimmer either. I was just telling someone else about this. I usually do it for relaxation, not exercise or another purpose, so I'm not quite as strong as everyone else I go with. Slightly embarrassing, but that's what I do. I actually never swam anywhere so deep before as when we went out into the open ocean for that spear fishing excursion. I was really afraid I was going to get tired and run out of energy, especially with the waves. It turned out okay though.

You're welcome! Yeah, I think I didn't have any chance yet to take a good photo of eagle.

It will happen one day.
I was lucky with this one, usually when I am at that location (every few years) I only can see one in the distance just possible to take a photo of and recognise but really not worth showing to anyone.

Thank you! (Yeah, I have a lot of photos of eagles but they are really far away, in the distance ).
