Hah, I wanted to add that I loved the grain here, but didn't want to repeat myself, as I believe you already know that I love your grainy pictures. So my answer is obviously no, I don't think it's overdone. On the other hand, I haven't seen this image without or with less grain... It's quite possible that it would look even better that way. Hard to tell... Anyway, I like it the way it is.

It's an older one, I only shoot JPG back then and the quality was...let's say mediocre. But I still liked the simplicity of this one and tried out different ways of post-processing until I finally decided to add "film grain" and it "saved" this picture, I'm just always unsure about the perfect amount of post-processing.

Indeed, grain can make a great photo out of a not-so-great one. I speak from personal experience.
"Unsure about the perfect amount of post-processing" - that's always the issue for me as well.
