There aren't alot of things that make me freak, but dolls & especially old broken discarded dolls, make me feel a tad uneasy.
Do they reflect the people that owned them?, are they the subconsious portraits of abused children?
These dolls dont say anything, but they are saying something.

This looks more solid than the original (which looks a bit flat because of where the round baby head image is cut out)
Awsome image.

dolls yeah..... i noticed you passed out again. HAH! hahaha but im serious, if you dont mind me using your idea to make a grim doll like that - those things have always freaked me out, thousands of them, just sitting - staring - staring - staring.... They dont even blink

Dr-Benway In reply to evilopi8 [2007-05-07 05:58:03 +0000 UTC]
Imagine they did!!! Maybe you can create a doll that blinks every minute or so. Now THAT's scary. Dolls scare everyone, gad knows why they still make the little bastards. I think the only doll that doesn't scare me is Barbie (Ken I find scary, for reasons I'm not going to go into). But then again maybe Barbie is even more scarier ...Because of the social implications of brainwashing all those little girls into thinking that being plastic, blonde and very short is totally normal (She's about 30cm, last time I measured).
I mean, Blonde .... it just isn't normal!!!!

evilopi8 In reply to Dr-Benway [2007-05-07 07:04:56 +0000 UTC]
ED ZACHARY.... but at least they got the symbiotic relationship of BLONDE - and AIRHEAD right, you got to give them a thumb up for that, only one thumb mind you..... I have cut open a barbies head before, and its just air....... hahahaha
Dolls and clowns, and jehovah witnesses, all scary ........

I've done the same to some Barbie look-alike, but I wasn't so lucky ... She was full of this yucky stuff that tasted like Science Diet petfood ...Boy did that made me puke.
Gawd when they said beauty is just skin deep, I didn't know they meant it so literally. The poor girl was hideous on the inside.
Hey, I take offence ... I'm a jehovah witnesses clown.

so long as you are not a doll.... then you are okay.
HAHAHAHA dude, sayings are there for a reason, like, a hand in the bush is worth two in the face - and so forth and so on.....

I hate dolls as much as the next guy .... Unless they're humanskin dolls that walk and talk and are over the legal age... But I'm married now, so I guess not.
LOL! Saying like the one you used are very dangerous. they're likely to get you a couple of hands in your face if there are any dolls listening.

ha! this is fantastic! love it.
in a few weeks or so, I'll post a photo of a baby's
head that I took in LA, sorry TOY BABY's head just making sure
hehe, actually, the whole 'multilating baby dolls' thing was a nice
memorable part of my childhood ^_^ my friends and I would
endeavour to do so in new and creative ways! of course, the
mandatory tying them to the rail track was a must, hehe, that was fun ^_^
my best friend even did a project with knives straight through them,
will post those up sometime! hehe! ..... I surpose the most "special"
experience will baby dolls... was one with a similar head to your piece
(um, minus the teeth **shiver**) where we encased its feet in two
loo rolls, grafittied slogans in black marker all over its face, body etc.
and strapped fireworks to its back. we then took it with us up the
mountain - it was me, robs (Requiet on my friends page), bry (my best
mate) and mikey (robs then best mate). so we were close knit, all of us
dressed in black, and feeling suitably cool n gothy. it started to get
surreal quite early on, what with the dope we were smoking and baileys/
Jack Daniels we were milking down. we ventured up past tall enchanted
looking forests full of silouetted crazy black trees, their branches like
lightening arms clawing at the orange sky. we marked a few of the
trees with spray, and robs carved something pretty into one of them.
we must have been wandering around lost for ages, Lol!! getting crazily
entrenched deep in all the different pathways and bushy braken. we
followed some roaming numbered sheep, over a circle of bumpy hills
coated in white sparkling snow (like from Narnia or something, and
looking awesome for skateboarding...) and discovered a large frozen
pond at the centre. we were pretty intoxicated and blissful at this point,
and proceeded to light the fireworks, before sliding this crazy zoot burned
baby across the lake, where it slowed to a halt in the centre, hehe!
seconds later EXPLODING THE F**K EVERYWHERE, in ALL DIRECTIONS,
two powerful shock streams barely hitting me and mikey. it was f**king
awesome dude \m/ ^_^ ... echoed all around! ... we then played ice hokey
on the surface (which we later found to be on a few inches deep, robs had
brought his axe with him) with the severed, burnt limbs of the baby as
sticks, and the head as a puck. and spraying purple and red pentagrams
on the pure white snow, which just looked spectacular. the contrast was
beautiful . eventually, we lost the limbs under the ice, they sank to the
touch of hot melted plastic. oh, hehe I forgot to mention, some of these
parts were still on fire / smoldering. all in all .. a really awesome night, full
of magic, wonder, energy, dark glitter & friendship .

talking of rituals, some of my friends are/were pagans.
I imagine you'd know lots of these? y'know the yellow
book of lemon or whatever. lol, yes, I know its not called
lemon.. I can't remember the name. but omg with
the cutting oneself business. sadly goth stereotypes, in
my experience, tend to be very true - many of my friends
have cut themselves up in the past. some inspired by
marilyn manson, turning up at my doorstep with various
writings/band names freshly carved on their arms or
over their chest, blood dripping. lovely! ..... personally,
I've always thought it stupid, so have never properly
done it myself (not the full way, but a little out of curiousity),
however, I have cut myself on purpose to make blood
paintings. ..... then pete doherty goes and does the same,
and makes the act look dumb! oh well!! ..... haha, you?

It's been a while since I was into that kind of thing ... but let me quickly try and remember. It's a sigil from a infamous grimoire called "The Greater Keys of King Solomon" or it could have been from the even more infamous "Goetia" ... But I think probably the first.
I collect grimoire ... I got quite a collection. The only one I'm still looking for is the Black Hen/Red Dragon. But I'm not really into it ... I just think it's cool to page through and have a couple of good chuckles.
