Titus 3:3-7

"For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. But after that the kindness and love of our God our Savior toward man appeared..."

"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior;"

"That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life."

I was sharing the Gospel with my brother not too long ago, and my mother kind of helped me talk to him, and she spoke about what Jesus went through in order to save us. He took the wrath of God -which was meant for us; for our disobedience to God- by being scorned, beaten half-to death with whips, a crown of thorns, and more, carrying his cross up a hill whilst still being mocked, nailed to a cross, completely separated from God for only a moment, and dying on the cross.

He didn't have to do this for us, he could have chosen to desert us, to leave us in this desperate and hopeless state.

But he didn't. He didn't leave us. Because he loves us and doesn't want any of us to suffer or to be damned to hell. He died so that we could live, and so that we could have a relationship with God (which we had not had before because our sin separated us from him; the most Holy being in the universe.) Then he raised from the dead, defeating death and proving himself to be the Son of God.

Don't just take my word for it though, go read and research about it for yourself, because if you knew just how much he loves you, all that he went through to save you, and what he wants for you (a good plan for your life, and a hope for the future) then you would have no reason to deny that he loves you. There's no way for you to.

After my mom talked about all that Jesus went through for me, I cried like a baby (kind of like in this drawing). The reason I cried was because I had realized just how much Jesus loved me. It was an overwhelming, unconditional love that nobody else could ever replicate. And it was a love that was given to ME -A sinner that has disobeyed God countless times. And above that, I didn't deserve it, and I could never earn it by my own actions. The fact that he knew I was a sinner, and had sinned against him time and time again, and he still chose to save me. That realization just was too much for me, and my admiration and gratefulness for the Lord skyrocketed. The fact that this man chose WILLINGLY to have a complete separation from God, and to be hated by (most) everyone he knew, just to save me and to have a relationship with me. It's incredible.

He wants the same for you. He wants you to know that he loves you, even though you don't deserve it. That might sound harsh, but it's true. We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. But he made a way for you to be forgiven, and a way for you to be reunited with the creator of the universe. And that was through Jesus's perfect sacrifice.

God doesn't want any of his children to suffer. He wants all of them to come to him, and to put their faith in him because he loves them and wants them to have a good life. He knows that you are not perfect, and yet he still loves you even so. Please, if the Lord is drawing you near to him, if you feel that tug, do not ignore it. Repent from your sinful desires, and trust in the Lord who loves you and wants you to have a good life. Trust him to guide you. He can change your life, and give you a plan and a purpose.

Romans 3:23-24

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Jesus Christ."

Jesus can cleanse us of our iniquity, you just have to trust him and surrender yourself to him as his follower, disciple, and child.
