Oh yea, I forgot to submit this drawing with that bundle of other drawings...Kitchen check madness, heheh. This drawing was drawn during work, with only time enough to shade Ansatsu. I finished shading Harumi when I got home.
I tried practicing light source (coming from the center) and the contrast levels... I'm still not certain if any improvements, if at all, show, heheh. I also tried practicing that extreme illusion. Ansatsu and Harumi need more attention, since they are the main characters...

Thanks, I'm glad you like my work. If I ever get far enough, maybe there will be a game of this, but for now, it's still in conceptual phase, and I need to start grounding some ideas.

Wow, you're awesome with pencil shading. The shading & lighting in this illustration is really amazing. I really like the pose you've gave them as well. That's a very neat concept.

Thanx (^-^)! I'm trying to experiement with more of lighting and poses, but it seems to stir away my consideration for anatomical correctness and other thing like that, heheh. I'm just too used to using mechanical pencils... I should use those soft lead pencils more often though...

Tru, tru. That's probably one of the primary reasons why I use them. It's always sharp, and easily accessible because I always carry it around. Other pencils, where you have to sharpen, either with a sharpener or exacto knife, I don't carry around due to the fact that I have to have other things (i.e.-the sharpener or exacto-knife; and you know that knife isn't really safe around crowds of people wearing toeless shoes in Florida, heheh.) as well. But I do acknowledge that the pencils which you sharpen give you the best quality.

At first, I thought it was Ryu(Ninja Gaiden) and a companion ninja. I am so ignorant! Anyways, I must say that your shading/penciling skills are truly impressive, as is your attention to details and figure drawing. Great action poses and excellent character/costume designs! You are an awesome artist! ^^

What comes to different contrast levels, I'd have really loved to see more parts like Ansatsu's headband. I mean, his headband's almost glowing! It shows clearly how the metal reacts to light... But that's about the only part where it does so, unfortunately. Darker tunes are on a way bigger role than the lighter levels.
However, that's the only thing that actually bothers me on this picture. It's really good for being something you worked at when you had some spare time at work, you know!

Finally some critiques. Yes, the black seems to outweigh the white in some areas. Maybe because I was taking coloring-into-greyscale factor all too seriously. For instance, Ansatsu's sword, which is supposed to be in the forground, blends right into the costume, which should be further back... Maybe I should have dulled out the underbody by making it grey instead of straight black. I should really add more contrast... Something I gotta practice more often! Maybe I should use a softer-leaded pencil...
Don't worry, I'll try to draw some more of Ansatsu and the crew, so you can expect more... sometime... soon... maybe...

Sometimes I would like to be up to that level, but I don't consider myself a pro, yet... Only until I can whip out a picture looking like this, or better, in 15 minutes; then would I be pro, heheh. But that's where the practice comes in... Thanx for the comment (^-^)!

your lucky they dont make you do somthing else when its slow cause when i worked at little caesars if no costomers came you had to do somthing you couldnt just stand around like for us we had to like cut up more toppings or somthing make extra whatever you know ~.~

Yea, I have to do some side work as well, but not often, since it's always not so busy... Most of the time, if I do get to draw, I usually do a rough sketch of some sort, and finish and refine it whenever I get home. When I do work, I usually work from about 12pm or so 'til about past 10pm. So I think I would have plenty of time to draw, that is, whenever it's really slow...

Yes, but it's just for one day in the week, most often... If my parent's call me in any other time during the week, I'll work if I'm not already occupied with important school stuff. Yes, long day indeed, heheh.
