Thanks for the in-depth comment. Glad you like the style I still pick it up on occasion. It's something I can and do go back to when the mood strikes. It's a little tough to convert to usefulness in comics, as it usually requires photo reference and these pieces were very large - at least 18x24 inches, if not bigger

Ah, that makes a lot of sense. Charcoal can be time consuming and photo reference can be hard to come by. It's a great look though.

I really like this one...you've got a beautifully crafted craggy feel going on with the line work, and this is complimented well with the tonal areas...
It'd be good to see it coloured.

Really nice, good mix of a controlled sort of cell shaded technique mixed with a more expressive charcoal stroke in areas. Can't really fault it to be honest!
